Accessibility Statement
This is a paraclimbing project for climbers with low vision. That its website can be read is not an extra: it is the least we can ask of ourselves.
Conformance status
This website has been designed to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA: screen reader support, full keyboard navigation, measured colour contrast and descriptions for non-text elements.
Measures taken
Full keyboard navigation, with a link to skip straight to the content.
Contrast measured, not estimated: card text and button text clear the 4.5:1 minimum required by the standard with room to spare.
Tap targets of 44 pixels or more, so no precision aiming is needed.
System preferences are respected: more contrast, less motion, and the browser's reading mode.
No text relies on colour alone to be understood.
What is still pending
Alternative descriptions for images are written by hand, one by one, and some are still missing. No machine generates them: on a low-vision website, the description of a photo is content, not metadata.
